Established in 1989, the Department of Information Engineering was the first and is still the only Information Engineering Department in Hong Kong. It has gained a world-wide reputation for its leading edge research and top quality programmes. Among its 27 faculty members, there are 6 IEEE Fellows, 2 IEE Fellows, and 14 Senior Members of IEEE.
