Biography

Rosanna was born and grew up in Hong Kong. She received her BEng, MPhil, and PhD degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, all in Information Engineering. Rosanna is now an academic staff at the Faculty of Education, the University of Hong Kong. She served as an assistant professor in this department in during September 2006 – June 2007 and is currently an adjunct assistant professor. Before joining IE, Rosanna has been an instructor at the Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is keen on applying various teaching and learning theories and innovative pedagogies in her teaching, and is experienced in running local and regional student activities. During 2000 – 2001, Rosanna was a technology analyst in Accenture, where she has been involved in several major financial systems of Hong Kong.


Rosanna possesses a dual background in engineering and education. Her research interests include engineering education, educational technologies, information security and cryptography. Rosanna is the principle investigator and key member of several inter-regional student learning projects. Rosanna founded the IEEE Education Society Hong Kong Chapter and is the current chair.
