The Master of Science in Information Engineering (MScIE) programme has the mission to prepare students to be leaders in information and communication technology. The programme is structured to provide both fundamental courses that give background training in technology, and elective courses that develop students¡¦ specialties. Specialized areas include: business and management, network and communication, and software and applications. The study experience in MScIE is further enriched with diverse activities including seminars, workshops, and community events.

Starting from 2007, MScIE students can select up to THREE courses from other MSc programmes within the Faculty of Engineering, CUHK; they can also enjoy CEF reimbursements for corresponding courses.
