Prof. Dahua Lin Awarded BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize in AI & Robotics

We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dahua Lin has been awarded the BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize 2026 in the area of Artificial Intelligence & Robotics.

Established in 2022 by the Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation (HKATI) and sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong), this prestigious award recognises outstanding scientific and technological achievements with significant societal impact. The prize spans five key areas: Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, Life and Health, Advanced Manufacturing, FinTech, and New Materials and New Energy. Each year, only five awardees—one in each field—are selected across Hong Kong, with each receiving an award of HKD 2 million.

Prof. Lin’s recognition highlights his impactful contributions to the field of artificial intelligence and reinforces the Department’s strong research excellence in cutting-edge technologies. The award also reflects Hong Kong’s growing role in advancing innovation and fostering high-quality development in the Greater Bay Area.
