CAO Jiaming
During my study in Mathematics and Information Engineering, I got the chance to participate in the Engineering Summer Research Internship, for which I got my first close exposure to the frontier of knowledge. The experience presented vividly to me what we learned in class can be employed to solve new problems arising from practice and how a well-established theory can approximate reality in the most essential fashion. Throughout my years as an engineering student, I got the chance to work with world-class experts in various fields and learn how powerful techniques could be applied to tackle the most challenging questions and to extend the boundary of human understanding about the world. It trained my ability in critical thinking and prepared myself for further research in fields which can benefit the world.
In short, the academic freedom, inspiring atmosphere, and clear vision in technological developments granted by the faculty helped the students greatly to pursue the career they are enthusiastic about and to prosper following their ambitions in the future.
