My current position in the Payment Department of HSBC is mainly to develop and enhance the autoPay system as well as test, configure and support the Group Messaging Gateway (GMG) connected to the SWIFT network. It involves programming, software development cycle and network protocol knowledge, which are all closely related to many IE courses. For instance, the software development cycle (Waterfall, Aglie, etc.) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) of IERG3080, networks and network protocols of IERG3310 and IERG3090, practical programming skills of Final Year Project (FYP); all these trainings have equipped me to cope with various challenges in my work.
