We admit around 10-15 students per year. While this programme is popular among mainland Gao Kao students, the admission number and the admission scores (especially in Math and related subjects) are lower than what the programme necessitates. We encourage strong JUPAS applicants to apply for this elite programme.
Some of the recent JUPAS students admitted into this programme have weaker than necessary Math ability and hence are struggling to cope. We are looking for students who are the top in their class and have done well in Math Olympiad Competition.

Non-JUPAS (Local and International)
Local applicants who are not using the results of Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) for admissions purpose will be considered as Non-JUPAS applicants. These qualifications include Associate Degree/Higher Diploma, HKALE, GCE, IB, SAT/AP and other overseas qualifications for university admission. International applicants who require a student visa to study in Hong Kong can apply through the “International Students Admissions Scheme”. The applicants must possess relevant high-school or post-secondary qualifications, e.g., GCE-AL, IB, SAT/AP (USA), GSAT (Taiwan), OSSD (Canada), and ATAR (Australia). The programme places strong emphasis on performance in Mathematics and Science subjects. The table below sets out the subjects preferred by the programme in common public examinations:

Mainland Gaokao
Students from the Chinese Mainland who are current Gaokao candidates (应届高考生) must apply through the National Colleges and Universities Enrolment System (全国普通高校统一招生计划).
