Dr. He (Henry) CHEN received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia, in 2015. He was a Research Fellow with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, The University of Sydney. In July 2019, he joined the Department of Information Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a faculty member, where he is now an Assistant Professor. Dr. Chen is now leading the wireless Internet of Things research group http://iiotc.ie.cuhk.edu.hk/ at CUHK.

Dr. Chen’s current research interests are in the field of wireless Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and their applications in various industrial verticals, including manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and smart city, etc. Dr Chen is serving on the editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications and IEEE Wireless Communications Letters.

Dr. Chen received the Outstanding Bachelor Thesis of Shandong University, the Outstanding Master Thesis of Shandong Province, the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad, and the best paper award from IEEE WCNC 2018.
