CHEN Zonghao

The Department of Information Engineering provides a variety of courses on different theories and applications and gives students much freedom to take courses based on their interests. This is one of the important reasons why I chose IE as my major. Besides courses, you can have various opportunities of participating in research or exchange. I have been awarded the Prof. K Kao Research Exchange Scholarship twice, with which I spent three months in Tsinghua University conducting research on compressive sensing and a whole semester at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an exchange student. Through participating in scientific research and communicating with brilliant students from other universities, I learned much that could not be obtained from regular courses. CUHK is a great place for students to try different things and choose their career paths.
