I chose to study the IERG Programme because I believed that its curriculum covered a wide range of topics in the field of information technology. In my third year, I took IERG3310, an introductory computer networking course that sparked my interest in the subject and motivated me to learn more about computer networking. One of the courses I took was a laboratory course IERG4831, where students had to simulate the operations of four different computer networks using Cisco switches and routers on the Cisco Modelling Labs platform, which is widely used in the industry. This course provided me with a valuable opportunity to learn from a CCIE holder, one of the top 60,000 computer networking experts in the world. I consider this course to be the most significant learning experience throughout my 4-year long academic journey.
