This course focuses on the applications of mathematical data analytic tools in a variety of science, medical, financial and engineering problems. Students will become familiar with mathematical tools and models for essential topics/case-studies selected from, but not limited to, algorithm trading, fraud detection, digital advertising, medical imaging, bioinformatics, remote sensing, and social networks. Students taking this course are expected to have knowledge in mathematical foundation of data analytics and related computational techniques.
