Graduated from Information Engineering programme in 1992, Mr. Richard K.L. Wong has more than 25 years of IT experience in sales, banking, enterprise risk management and insurance industries. Throughout the years, his work has closely related to data management and analysis. Data is unquestionably one of the most important resources for any business. The use of sales data not only helps the enterprises to increase the profit margin by promoting their products to focus customer groups effectively, it also helps better cost control for businesses.

Mr. Wong currently works as a Director and Head of Business Development and Marketing at an Enterprise Risk Management Consultancy Company. He always provides advice on network security for his clients. As data is a very important asset of businesses, many companies will hire “White-hat Hackers” to test system vulnerabilities and propose feasible improvements for their network. While data processing, analysis and network security are also the main categories under Information Engineering, he believes IE graduates who are expertise in these two areas, with good problem solving skill and logical thinking should have a lot of opportunities in career.
