We are excited to announce that the AIoT Lab, led by Prof. Guoliang Xing, has achieved numerous awards at the 30th Annual International Conference on Mobile Computing and Networking (MobiCom 2024).
The paper titled “αLiDAR: An Adaptive High-Resolution Panoramic LiDAR System” was honored with the Best Artifact Award, recognizing it as the most significant system artifact among approximately 500 submissions to the conference. This award highlights the innovative contributions made in software and hardware within the field.
Additionally, the demo associated with this work secured the Best Demo Award Runner-up, showcasing its practical application and effectiveness.
Another notable achievement came from the paper titled “Soar: Design and Deployment of A Smart Roadside Infrastructure System for Autonomous Driving,” co-authored by PhD students from the Department of Information Engineering, along with Prof. Zhenyu Yan, Prof. Raymond Yeung, and Prof. Guoliang Xing. This paper received the Best Artifact Award Runner-up, further emphasizing the lab’s commitment to advancing technology in autonomous driving systems.
