We are proud to announce that the research teams led by Professors Sze-yiu Chau and Wing-cheong Lau have been honored with the 2024–25 Outstanding Research Impact Award from the Faculty of Engineering for their groundbreaking project, “Protecting Billions from Thievery: Systematic Evaluations of Authentication Mechanisms in Networked Systems.” This award recognizes their significant contributions to enhancing security in networked systems through rigorous and systematic evaluations of authentication technologies—critical tools in safeguarding billions of users worldwide from cyber threats.
