We are thrilled to announce that two of our PhD students, Ziyi XU and Chang CAI, both supervised by Prof. Angela ZHANG, have been recognized for their research projects in the 1st IEEE ComSoc Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition held at ICC 2023.

The competition challenges PhD students to explain their research in just three minutes. In Round 1, students around the world submitted three-minute video presentations, and only the top 15 competitors were invited to attend Round 2 in person at ICC. Both Ziyi and Chang managed to get into the top 15, each awarded a US$2000 travel grant. In Round 2, Ziyi ranked 2nd and won the Second Prize. Ziyi is a first-year PhD student and Chang is a second-year PhD student. We are incredibly proud of their achievements, especially considering that most of the other competitors were in their senior years.

Congratulations to Ziyi and Chang!
